Old World Witchcraft, Raven Grimassi & Stephanie Taylor-Grimassi Do you long to know the hidden ways from days of old? Come and learn about the soul of the Old World Witch, a mentality of primal magic and awareness. Through this class, you will learn about the magical and spiritual tradition of the witch with deep roots in the Spirit of the Land. Included in this workshop is the teaching of "She of the White Round" and "He of the Deep Wooded Places" - early ideas about the Divine.
Cauldron of Memory, Raven Grimassi & Stephanie Taylor-Grimassi The spirits of your ancestors whisper to you; do you ever hear them? In this class you will be introduced to the concept of the living river of blood that flows through each generation, and the idea of ancestral memory residing within the cells of our bodies. Also included are methods of communing with ancestral spirits. You are the heir to an ancient lineage who passed on the DNA that created you. Within you is the memory of all that has come before. During this class, you will learn about techniques to contact your ancestral spirit and be a Keeper of the Cauldron mysteries in your own lifetime.
Called by the Spirit: Finding Meaning in Spiritual Phenomena, Pastor Phil Wyman Experiences beyond our comprehension, often challenging our worldviews frequently interrupt our lives. They leave us with a mixed sense of wonder and confusion. This workshop seeks to discover meaning and direction in the voices and experiences from the unseen realm. Designed for those who have felt the call from beyond this world, and are wondering how to incorporate it into their lives. This workshop will be a combination of teaching and hands on interpretive work. If you have had such experiences, or if you work with people who are struggling to find meaning in their experiences, this workshop will help open your mind to deeper meaning behind the face of visions, dreams and uncommon experiences.
The teaching consists of descriptions of shamanic journeys and theories behind experiences which have a sense of calling to a greater purpose. Pagans, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Christians, and even those who have not been able to define their faith have been experiencing supernatural, spiritual phenomena. The calling of the ancient Shaman will be used as the base structure for deciphering these experiences. The workshop will include a session of sharing spiritual encounters and learning to dig for meaning in those experiences.
Stirring the Pot: An Introduction to Kitchen Witchery, Dawn Hunt This workshop is an introduction to Kitchen Witchery. During the Kitchen Witch workshop, we will be discussing what it means to be a kitchen witch, and how to use practical spell recipes to practice your craft in an everyday way. You will learn how easy it is to create a sacred space in the kitchen, including rooting, meditation and decorating the kitchen to best please your spiritual self. We will discuss foods, spices and other ingredients and how to implement their innate magical properties. In addition to discussing the importance of eating locally, the workshop will end by discussing what foods are in abundance and in season right now, their magical properties, and how to use them in seasonal recipes.
Ocean Oracle: A Unique System of Seashell Reading (Conchomancy), Michelle Hanson Seashells function as tools that enable us to speak with our subconscious, allowing the inner self to communicate the information it considers most valuable for our growth. As master teachers from Mother Earth, the guidance they deliver is empowering. Join Michelle Hanson, author of Ocean Oracle: What Seashells Reveal about our True Nature, to learn to decode the language of the Seashell Kingdom. By listening to the shells, you can tap into your own innate wisdom and joy.
Traditional Mabon Ritual, Teri Kalgren Participate in a traditional Mabon ritual to celebrate this season of plenty.
Sharing 5 Daily Practices, Moira Ashleigh & Sarah Twichell We all lead busy lives filled with urgent demands on our time and attention. In the swirl, it's easy to lose touch with the natural world, which is the ground of our being and the source of our power. When we are connected to the natural world around us, it can seem like the right things just happen. Working our way around the pentacle, we will explore 5 exercises to enhance magical strength and connection. Simple tools that you can incorporate into your daily life.
Drum Circle & Workshop, Darrell Brown In this workshop, we will learn how to identify and feel drum rhythms through various exercises in listening. Participants are also invited to help lay the beat for the main circle at 4:00 p.m.
Dancing Your Connection with Nature, The Goddess Dancing Everything in nature dances! Come learn some basic belly dance moves and find out how this dance can enhance your connection with the natural world. We'll present movements and isolations using our Sacred ShapesTM method and show you how to embody, reflect and commune with Nature through this beautiful dance. The Goddess Dancing's mission is to support and empower women by teaching and performing belly dance. We believe that women have powerful voices gained by living in their beautiful bodies.
Fun in the Whore House, Christopher LaFond There are lots of books published about astrology, sex and love. Since most of them are crap, and pure invention of the authors, where does a poor pagan go to find out about love, sex and all kinds of fun? To the Fifth House, of course! Come find out what classical astrology can tell you about your ability to have fun, find love and take a walk on the wild side! No previous astrological knowledge is necessary.
Candle Magick, Mary D'Alba Candle Magick is a way to send your intentions to the Universe through the fire elements. In this class, we will discuss the ways to make your candle magick more powerful. We'll discuss colors to use, how to bless and dress the candles, and different ways to use candles on their own or with other tools. Join us for some tips and tricks to make your candle magick work for you!
I'm not a Witch, I'm not a Witch! The dressed me up like this! Tchipakkan Like the woman in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, we sometimes feel that protesting "I'm not a witch!" is futile. Modern America seems to think that all pagans are Wiccan or witches. There are many other forms of paganism in the modern world. We'll talk about some of the other forms from ongoing indigenous faiths like Shinto or Hinduism, to modern reconstructions like Asatru, Hellenistic, Khemetic (Egyptian), Celtic and some uniquely modern paganism variants. Feel free to come and talk about yours.
Paganism and Personalities, Shanddaramon What is it that makes us the way we are? What makes us different; what makes us the same? What is it that makes up the collective part of ourselves that we call the personality, and how does it relate to a Pagan view of the world? In this workshop, we'll explore how the principles of modern Paganism can help us to understand who we are. Based on his book - Just Becoming: A Pagan Guide to Discovering and Expressing Your Authentic Self - Shanddaramon will lead you on an exploration of the three major components of personality: your basic type, your environmental layers, and your inner narrative. The workshop will also include an assessment of your basic personality type based on Shanddy's elemental typology system and an assessment of your spiritual strength.
RunValdr, Tchipakkan This is a system of energy healing using Runes and another set of symbols given to Rodney Cox by Odin and Freya. This workshop introduces the symbols and what each of them is used for, and includes the attunement. It does NOT include introduction to runes. You may take this workshop without knowing the runes, but you will need to learn them to be able to use this system. RunValdr has similarities to Reiki, but can be used for healing from migraines to ADD, making magickal objects, astral travel, channeling energies and more. You will be able to use this technique immediately. This workshop will take place in the family area.
Pagan Parenting, The MoonPool Coven While parenting itself can be a challenging endeavor, bringing up children in today's society of non-responsibility and immediate gratification can be almost overwhelming. This workshop will help you clarify your expectations, as well as show you how to pass your beliefs and values to your children in ways that they will enjoy and be grateful for. This workshop will take place in the family area.
Please note: Workshop schedule is subject to change. Any changes will be announced and posted the day of the event.
